Maharaja was seated on wooden cot in the court of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. Maharaja had put on an embroidered turban on His head. He had covered His body with a white cloth. A congregation of Munies and devotees was seated infront of Him. A Muni [ascetic] sang a devotional song in the meeting. Then Maharaja said, `'Is a person same as in childhood as he is at present?”

Saying this, he quoted his own example; `' when I was a young boy, I liked very much to go to the temple for the Darshana, to hear the scriptural discourses (Kathas) and to be always in company of saints and devotees, to go to pilgrimage. When I left the house, I did not even like to have any extra dress. I very much liked to very much stay in the forest, I was never afraid of anything. I happened to see many big snakes, lions, elephants, and other wild animals. Still I never had the fear of death. Thus I ever remained fearless in the jungle”.

The saints and devotees listened to Shriji Maharaja with reverence. All felt `' what a good thing it will be if we are so fearless !”. Many days had passed after this incident. Once He was holding a meeting in Vadtal. The same kind of story of fear and fearlessness came to the forefront. This time Maharaja said; “ I am totally fearless, yet I am afraid of one thing”. The devotees were surprised. How can the person ( Maharaja ) who was not afraid of wild furious animals in the forest be afraid of something at present ?. In the meantime Maharaja said, “ I have fear not only of one thing. I am afraid of four thing ”. The saints felt that there was some decret in what Maharaja told. Some one asked Dattatreya, “ Who is your Master ( Guru )? ”

Dattatreya replied, “ I have not one but twenty-four Gurus”. Maharaja's talk is just like of Dattatreya. Even otherwise Maharaja says, “ My life's mould is just similar to those Jadbharat and Dattatreya”. Everyone has all attention to hear what Maharaja says.

Maharaja said, “ I am afraid of four persons. One of them is God; the second person I am afraid of is the devotee of God, the third is a Brahmin, and the fourth is some poor man. I am afraid of these four persons more than anyone else.”

Maharaja stopped a little and said, “ whosoever wishes his own welfare should never betray them. Moreover, never show arrogance, pride or ego before a devotee of God or God Himself.” The last of all Maharaja said, `' My disposition is such that would never like a person who halts or betrays God's devotee as a Brahmin and a poor man, I have no relation with such a person. In my case it is as has been described in the song composed by Muktananda; `'May we be given a sleeping place on gallows, yet we be with saints”. and Maharaja told them to sing that song. All the saints received that song and then sang a song composed by Narshinh Maheta; Never visit a person who has never loved and faith in God.”

“All my devotees must learn these poems by heart,” said Maharaja.

Shriji Maharaja had taught us in this lesson that one should never be afraid of lions and tigers but we should be afraid of mankind. Never in any case, hate a poor man, Never distain a Brahmin or a devotee. Never forget God. The word `Brahmin' had broad connotation.

What Maharaja advise us to be afraid of four persons is itself one kind of fearlessness. such a fear is not so easy.
